Indian River Cattle Company is a family run operation specializing in the production of elite Black and Red Simmental cattle. Located just east of Peterborough at Indian River we are only 1 1/2 hours away from the heartbeat of Canada, the city of Toronto. Along with the production of superior seedstock we also run a custom fitting and showing servi... ce for all breeds of cattle. In recent years we have entered the sales management, marketing and consulting business also offering catalogue, brochure and web design, ring service and top end livestock photography. We are also the junior partners of the well known Hereford Outfit - Elmlodge. Our Goal as a breeder of purebred Simmentals has been to produce and supply predictable genetics to both commercial and purebred breeders in the form of herdbull and replacement females. We have realized a portion of our goal by producing some of the winningest bulls and females at major events in Eastern Canada. A true testament to the depth and quality of our breeding program has been winning the prestigious Premier Breeder and Exhibitor banners at Eastern Canada's largest Simmental shows. The NABC in London saw three years of strong competition where we won both Premier bannners in 2005, 2006 and 2007, while the Simmental resurgence at the Royal has seen shows well over 100 head with 180 at the National show and we have been fortunate to be Premier Breeder in 2007,2008 and 2009.
