About Imperial Oil
Imperial Oil Limited is a Canadian integrated energy company founded in 1880 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. The company operates across the full petroleum value chain, encompassing upstream exploration and production of crude oil, natural gas, and bitumen; downstream refining and marketing of petroleum products; and petrochemical manufacturing. Imperial Oil is Canada's largest refiner of petroleum products, operating refineries in Strathcona, Sarnia, and Nanticoke, and distributes fuel through a network of Esso-branded retail stations across Canada. Its upstream operations include the Kearl oil sands mining project and the Cold Lake in-situ oil sands facility in Alberta, as well as a stake in the Syncrude oil sands operation.
