IHD Coaching is a company with a focus on athletes and a holistic approach with a focus on all aspects of sport and competition. Tony Fryer founder and head coach at IHD Coaching has a strong field hockey back ground. His passion for the sport enabled him to be part of a performance coach program. The focus of this program was generic and was atten... ded by other top level coaches from other sports. Through this program Tony gained new knowledge and drive to assist athletes not only in regards to hockey but from other sports assisting them mentally and physically prepare for events. Tony started coaching in the early 2000's working his way up the ranks to coaching at both U18 and U21 level. His most recent success was coaching the Southland U15 boys in 2016 to national tournament winners. Tony started IHD Coaching to allow him to not only coach in the field hockey environment but be able to branch out to other sports to offer mental and physical coaching to athletes to assist in their preparation of not only team sports events but those involved as individual athletes.
