We will take forward development on 6 sites across the City, along with the management of a £23m portfolio of investment assets. The Sunderland Delivery Vehicle's mission is to generate social, economic and environmental benefits within a commercial framework by stimulating and delivering sustainable and well-designed development in Sunderland. Igloo's approach will create a brand, presence and marker to be put down by Sunderland that is open for investment and looking to create a place to live, work, play and invest. Igloo aims to lever in £400m of funding over the next 10 years. Across all 6 development sites, we have identified over 2m sq ft of retail and leisure development and 3,000 homes to be delivered over a 20 year period, providing £800m of development value and creating 28,000 jobs. Our work begins with the establishment of the Partnership that will receive the assets from the Council. We will establish a location for the management team to operate from in Sunderland City Centre and are currently finalising the development of the Partnership's brand.
