IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is an organization for Students or Professionals in the field of Electrical Engineering. The IEEE has many student branches established throughout the world. A student branch is formed by a group of IEEE student members of a particular university. Student branches are strictly student-run and... faculty-advised, but operate in accordance with IEEE bylaws and participate in IEEE-sponsored events. Our student branch, the Alexandria Student Branch engages in hands-on projects, courses, guest lectures, seminars, visits/field trips, SPACs, SPAVs and networking through the IEEE to meet other students, professionals, and organizations. How long does the membership last? Depending on when you join (Annual or Semi-Annual member); the Annual membership lasts the whole year (01 January till 31 December), while the Semi-Annual lasts for only half a year (01 July till 31 December).
