About Ice and Fire Con
A Podcast of Ice and Fire was founded in March 2008 and launched as an attempt to fill in the hollow gaping void the fifth book delay had left in Mimi's heart. The concept of a structured, professional approach to podcasting about a book series was inspired by the structure of the Harry Potter-devoted Mugglecast. The idea of thorough coverage of varying aspects in the books was spawned by the original ASOIAF podcast, Winter is Coming. However, the result ended up something different altogether. If you find yourself occasionally offended or disturbed by swearing, unfiltered discussion, or Pokemon, this is not the podcast for you.
