So Housing Systems was born. A web-based information system with bite-sized chunks of readable information and useful tools - users find our standard letters especially useful. Our hbnotes site is designed around the Housing Benefit issues that housing professionals come across regularly. And our ucnotes site provides comprehensive and detailed inf... ormation on Universal Credit and other Welfare Reform issues such. Over 270 housing, advice and voluntary organisations now subscribe to Housing Systems, with at least 10,000 staff members having access to the sites. The websites include links to regulations and relevant caselaw, benefit calculators, our ever popular standard letters, and tips on reducing arrears / maximising income. Our monthly newsletter keeps users up to date with benefits changes, what new on the site and offers hints and tips for maximising income and reducing arrears. And our online advice service is an enormous help to our users who can contact us for advice on any aspect of Housing Benefit or Welfare Reform. Every year our regular users eagerly await the latest pocket-sized Benefits Rates Leaflets. We also deliver fun and informative training as well as offering a consultancy service which includes representation at appeals. Our aim is to provide not just information but the confidence and tools to use it. At least one of our team is out and about delivering training somewhere in the UK every week.
