At Horizons in Learning, we are dedicated to the pursuit of helping every student reach his or her academic goals, while inspiring each individual to tap into their unique and full potential along the way. We are comprised of three distinct divisions, each founded with a deep commitment to quality educational programming: Estelle Finkel, The Learni... ng Center; SEE Camp; and The Gifted and Talented Institute. Established in 1982, Estelle Finkel is a comprehensive learning center providing uniquely tailored services to learners of all ability levels. In addition to our standardized test preparation, we offer personalized subject-area tutoring, a kindergarten literacy program, diagnostic and evaluative services, and college advisory services. SEE Camp provides a well-rounded camp experience for above-average students in grades K-8, featuring activities in science, art, theater, music, recreation, and swimming. Having celebrated 17 years of success, SEE Camp adheres to a 10-to-1 student-to-staff ratio, and employs instructors who are primarily educators and counselors during the school year. Two, two-week sessions are available each summer, with the option for before and after-care. Founded in 1989, The Gifted and Talented Institute provides gifted children in grades K-8 an enriching experience beyond the scope of their typical school classroom. This Saturday morning program offers children a wide array of classes in areas such as mathematics, science, and the humanities, as well as other "niche" classes like chess and cartooning.
