About Horizon Academy
Horizon Academy is a specialized school with programs that educate students with attention and learning challenges. Horizon Academy's goals are to help students become learners by mastering basic skills and strategies to be effective, efficient learners. Students will work in curriculum areas while sharpening their organization skills, learning to advocate for themselves, and developing appropriate social skills. The student body is coeducational and serves students from first grade through high school. The staff is a highly professional team that assesses the needs of each student, provides tools for their 21st century learning, and creates a very caring, nurturing environment that is felt by students and parents alike. It is my pleasure to introduce you to this special learning community that has been in operation since 1999. Horizon Academy serves students in a 75-mile radius from the Kansas City area.
