The Story of Hobgood Hemp is the story of Hobgood NC. It's the story of the underdog. The story of the little guy. Its a small town in eastern NC with only 300 residents, but a town thriving because of the character of its people. Its the story of a farmer named David Mayer my father in law. David is a servant. One of several Hobgood, NC residents... over the years to receive NCs highest civilian honor, The Order of the Long Leaf Pine. As much as David loves to give back to his family and community, his ability to do so came into jeopardy when he as diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. When he personally experienced good results from CBD products, there was no turning back. When NC launched their hemp pilot program in 2020, David applied and became one of the first NC farmers to grow hemp in decades. Since then David Mayer Farms has raised many successful hemp crops and continually improves growing techniques. His operation is considered one of the finest in America due to the quality of the crop. Hobgood Hemp was created to help bring this amazing blessing to other people.
