When Hillside was founded in 1992, it started as a small machine and fabrication shop with expert personnel and standard equipment. The company's dedication to customer service allowed the company to develop close relationships with the company's clients and an understanding of anticipating the company's customers' machinery and facility related ne... eds. In 1993, Hillside moved into a larger facility in Downingtown, PA. The company's capabilities and efficiencies increased with the acquisition of upgraded equipment. The machine shop improvements included installation of multiple three-axis programmable TRAK knee and bed mills, as well as a wide variety of engine lathes, including a mammoth 36" swing (16 foot bed-length) Monarch lathe. The fabrications shop was also upgraded with the ability to implement plate shearing, press brakes and was equipped with the latest welding technologies. The continuous acquisition of highly-skilled personnel allowed the company to then offer millwright and in-plant support services. By 1994, the company continued success and emerging opportunities prompted another major expansion of the Hillside organization. In need of a larger facility, the company moved into an Exton, PA location. With a growing staff comprised of machinists, welders, fabricators, and mechanics, Hillside branched out into machine building and CNC machining. Vertical Machining Centers and CNC Lathes were brought on-line along with CAD/CAM software capabilities. Now, Hillside is located in Honey Brook, PA in the company's 40,000 sq. ft. facility that contains a state of the art machine and fabrication shop with advancements including waterjet and router capabilities and advanced CAD engineering.
