Welcome to Hillside Free Range, where we keep, raise and breed rare breed pigs, native sheep and keep free range chickens. Our aim is to produce the best quality meat and eggs by looking after our animals to the highest possible standards. Our products can only be bought direct from us. I run Hillside as a low input traditional system, where the sheep are grass fed, the pigs free range, supplementing their gm free diet with roots and whatever vegetation they fancy in their run. We also feed the pigs a great deal of fresh fruit and vegetables from our own veg patch as well as using over date fruit and veg from local suppliers. The laying hens range over several fields and the yard. They are fed gm free layers pellets in the morning and gm free corn in the evening. I supplement this with fresh fruit, and the hens will pick at things as they wander around the field too. This autumn they have particularly enjoyed the blackberries in the hedgerows. We sell our Free Range GM Free pork from our rare breed pigs direct to local customers in Somerset and South Wales, we also have small group of customers in Oxfordshire. Butchered to your requirements and available in 3 different sizes, there's a box suitable for everyone. We sell our Black Welsh Mountain lambs direct to local customers in South Wales. Again we can butcher these to your requirements, large or small joints, lambs are sold as whole or half lambs.
