Based on the Florida Space Coast, Highlander Technologies is a system integration and information technology services company. Founded as a part-time enterprise in 1994 by a refugee from America's space program, in late 1997 Brian Richardson left the R & D group of a major aerospace company to devote his energies to Highlander full-time. Highlander... began by offering a software application developed to provide users of the D3 (PICK) Database Engine with a cost-effective EDI solution that didn't require modifications to their existing business applications, and didn't require the purchase of a separate communications software application. Highlander was one of the first tenants of the Florida and NASA sponsored Business Incubation Center (FNBIC). During downsizing in the late 1990's that affected both our nation's space and defense programs, the FNBIC was established to both nurture small technology businesses, and to provide opportunities for local entrepreneurial technology workers who might otherwise have relocated to other regions. While a tenant of the FNBIC, Highlander focused primarily on its initial software product offering. Over time, we've expanded our offerings in direct response to customer requests. Highlander is now also a Value Added Reseller for all computer hardware and software products; and we have a separate professional services division focused on providing unbiased and objective assistance with your most challenging Information Technology problems.
