Highgrove Bespoke Joiners of Cheltenham (formerly Highgrove Joinery) was established in 2006 by Laurence Sperring. Whilst drawing upon a team of skilled tradesmen and associates as required for each commission, Laurence continues to be both the Managing Director and primary designer and joiner at Highgrove Bespoke Joiners. Laurence brings over 20 y... ears of experience working in the joinery trade, having worked in and managed workshops in Gloucestershire and Somerset, as well as in Australia and New Zealand. After completing a joinery apprenticeship in Somerset and working in a number of workshops there, in the late 1990s Laurence travelled the world for 3 years, continuing his work overseas. On his return he moved to Oxford and spent 12 months at the prestigious Ryecotewood College in Oxfordshire studying fine furniture design and manufacture and fine-tuned his skills in furniture making and design for kitchens, living areas, bathrooms and bedrooms. Laurence then moved to Cheltenham, working for a number of local joinery businesses and completing a Diploma in Management, before establishing Highgrove Joinery. Based in the beautiful Prestburyarea of Cheltenham, Laurence now operates the business from his 2,400 sq. ft. workshop. Highgrove Bespoke Joiners produces a wide range of fitted and free-standing bespoke furniture, including luxury kitchens, libraries, cabinet units and study furniture. We also produce items for commercial customers, including for example designing, making and installing new fitted reception areas for doctor surgeries; furniture and fittings for hair salons; and general restaurant and shop fittings.
