High Tech Early College

High Tech Early College is a Denver Public Schools innovation high school in the Montbello community. Its mission is centered on rigorous academics and connections with the business community and industry leaders. HTEC three pillars for 21st century success include Concurrent Enrollment, Project Based Learning and its Executive Internship Program.... Students can earn up to 26 hours of college credit by the end of their junior year, with the opportunity to complete a Certificate of Business. During their senior year, students can continue working toward an Associate of Science or an Associate of Arts degree. Students who complete an Associate of Arts Degree can transfer a four-year state college as a junior. Under the leadership of Principal John Fry, HTEC opened its doors during the 2011-2012 school year with 96 ninth grade students. During the 2012-2013 school year, HTEC will serve approximately 250 students made up of 9th and 10th graders. HTEC expects to graduate it first senior class during the 2014-2015 school year.Read More
