High Performance Coatings

(HPC) located in Whitsett, North Carolina is a wholly owned subsidiary of nCoat that has multiple coating products using proprietary chemical formulations for coating metallic, ceramic,... fabric, organic and multiple other substrates. These coatings provide functionality that currently solves costly problems in multiple industries that arise from technology advances. Technology has allowed devices to be smaller, operate faster, higher and/or deeper, and perform better, safer and with less environmental impact. These technological advancements also create new challenges. Key emerging problems include (i) high heat generated by higher speeds of machines, (ii) tensile strength and heat resistance of new composite materials, (iii) corrosion and abrasion occurring in new areas of exploration (space, high altitude, water, extreme temperature conditions, etc.), (iv) degradation and/or failure of common substrate materials from high acidic and heat conditions to meet new, aggressive federal pollution mandates, (v) friction and abrasion created by miniaturization, and (iv) materials degradation from high speed manufacturing systems causing heat, bonding, etc. Nano coating used to help bring diesel burning engines into EPA compliance with emissions regulations. To create solutions for the problems caused by rapid technology development, HPC recently invented nano-formulated coatings, which produce functionality far above previous coatings products. HPC has developed prospects for explosive growth with these nano-formulated coatings. Coatings formulated with nanotechnology use nanometer scale (5 to 100 nanometer) particles. A nanometer is 1 billionth of a meter in diameter or approximately 1- 80,000th the width of a human hair.
