High Mowing School is a Waldorf high school for boarding and day students, where talented and experienced teachers draw on the wisdom of Waldorf education, and nurture the interests of today's young people. High Mowing is designed to support the developmental growth a student experiences during their high school years. Freshmen and sophomores follow a structured experience so they can try new disciplines and experience different ways of learning. At the end of sophomore year, each student (with their advisor's guidance and parents' support) reviews his/her first two years and creates a plan for the next two. Juniors and seniors have a broad choice of electives and chart their own path to graduation, which is reflective of their unique interests and passions.
