This joint-stock company for studies, research, designing and engineering has completed several thousands ofstudies and designs for over a half a century long operation period. The construction of the Hydrosystem Danube-Tisa-Danube was the most significant of all realized designs in ex-Yugoslavia. The company has carried out elaborate research and... provided design solutions for water management in the area of about 2.100.000 ha, which include drainage of 1.700.000 ha, irrigation of 540.000 ha, gravity water supply of settlements, industries and fisheries, as well as enabling the navigation on the main network of canals which is 665 km long. Most major hydro construction structures, such as bridges, water gates, pump stations, piers and navigation locks were designed by 'Hidrozavod'. Apart from Vojvodina, 'Hidrozavod DTD' has provided designing services all over Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, where numerous designs in the field of agroamelioration and river bank protection have been conducted so far. 'Hidrozavod DTD' has been successfully engaged in research, studies, designs and provision of consultancy services to many countries abroad, such as Morocco, Libya, Iraq, Zambia, Angola etc. The largest and most significant project abroad was an irrigation and drainage system 'Duaila' in Iraq.
