In 1961, Hicks-Ashby was sold to Stephenson's School Supply in Lincoln, Nebraska but continued to operate as a separate identity. The company was sold in 1969 to the employees and investors and became a closely held corporation. In 2014, Hicks Ashby merged with Haldeman Homme, a company that shares its vision and compliment of services. Hicks Ashby continues to operate as it did in the past providing local expertise and services to its clients.
