The Heroes Cup is an annual charity golf tournament hosted by Grand Traverse Resort and Casinos to honor and raise funds for Northern Michigan orga nizations that support our military veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and other community heroes. A portion of all proceeds generated from the Heroes Cup Invitational, through player registration and sponsorships, will be donated to a local non-profit organization or community cause. The Heroes Cup is a two-person event and will take place on The Wolverine golf course. The tournament will be played in the 2-person scramble format. We will have Open, Senior and Mixed/Women divisions. The Open division will be flighted based on the number of teams entered. There will also be a skins game within each division on Friday, August 26 on the Spruce Run golf course for an additional fee. The entry fee of $125 will be collected in the clubhouse on 8/27/2022: 7:45 am-8:45 am. Ernie Stevens, Jr. is the Chairman and national spokesperson for the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) in Washington, D.C. Stevens is currently in his ninth two-year term as the organizations leader, which is a position elected by the member tribes of the National Indian Gaming Association. The tournament will be played in the 2-person team scramble format on the scenic Wolverine Golf Course.
