Since 1996, Apple Counselings mission has been to help people with the situation at hand, whatever their struggle. Today, Apple Counseling boasts over fifty counselors providing over 30,000 sessions to clients annually across nine offices in the great state of Texas. However, it all started in 1994 with one woman from Louisiana providing therapy in a dinky little closet that rented for whopping $75 a month. After spending a couple of years working in the mental health industrys nonprofit sector, Founder and CEO Michelle Apple LCSW, decided to start her private counseling practice all by herself. Though it was personally rewarding, private practice as a sole provider is a lonely game.
