Heredia Designs really started back in 1987, in the cold, fortress of bricks the city called "Rutgers Housing Projects". Originally setting out to be an architect, David would create entire houses out of cardboard boxes since he couldn't afford to buy the Castles from the He-Man toy collection. 10 years later as a college student in NYC, David Here... dia was struggling to make ends meet. With a part time job and a full time class schedule, David started freelancing, offering custom cartoon designs to his co-workers for $50. Immediately it seemed that word got out and he was soon commissioned by faculty members and non-profit organizations all over Brooklyn NY. For several years David worked odd jobs and often freelanced from home. He dreamed of the day that he could open up his own studio. At first it seemed impossible to think that anyone from the ghetto could achieve this. But persistence routinely overcomes resistance. When you're passionate about the work you do, it ceases to feel like a job and more like fun. In 2010, Heredia Designs, LLC was formed and the company has done work for The Pearson Foundation, MTV Tr3s, Walt Disney Feature Animation, Warner Bros. TV Animation, Johnson & Johnson, The Boys & Girls Club, Yearup.org, online gaming companies and currently creates a monthly comic strip for Vibe Magazine.
