Here Now Health is a Virginia-based virtual healthcare company founded by Michelle Turner that serves as the first telehealth provider purpose-built for children and families impacted by the child welfare system. The company provides virtual mental healthcare and support services for children and young adults ages four to twenty-six who are covered... by Medicaid due to their current or previous connection to foster care, reducing costs for states and empowering families. Here Now Health serves Medicaid members eligible due to their foster status, including children currently in foster care or family preservation plans, youth adopted from foster care, young adults who have aged out of the system, and youth in the juvenile justice system, while actively supporting parents, caregivers, foster parents, and other supportive adults. Founded by Michelle Turner, a mother, former foster parent to more than forty children, Court-Appointed Special Advocate volunteer, and pediatric healthcare executive, the company was created in response to the countless challenges faced when trying to access care for children in foster care settings. Turner brings deep understanding of both the child welfare and healthcare systems, having held leadership roles across community and global health including positions at a Federally Qualified Health Center, as Executive Director of a global telehealth nonprofit, and as Vice President at Hazel Health where she helped scale school-based virtual care nationwide.
