Hempyre Genetics, LLC is an advanced hemp research and development company that has partnered with multiple universities to help create the standards that are required by the 2018 Farm Bill for compliance in growing and processing hemp. Hempyre Genetics' primary focus is on industrial hemp, which ranges from genetics, cultivation, the research and... development of new technologies and applications, and consulting services. In April of 2018, Hempyre Genetics partnered with Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Project Hemp for Victory. Project Hemp for Victory set out to acquire cannabis genetics that was leftover from the industrial hemp farming that took place in the state of Oklahoma during the 1930s and '40s. This project started out with the identification of multiple locations across the state that may still contain these remnants. When the locations are identified the lost cultivars are actively sought out, documented, verified, and their genetics are certified as industrial hemp through the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture and Forestry. After these new strains become registered, Hempyre Genetics cultivates and breeds them with our own proprietary high-content phytocannabinoid rich (PCR) strains. The offspring of these newly bred strains become propagated by Hempyre Genetics and made ready for sale by seed or by clone. They include strains that are high in fiber, hurd, cannabinoids, and terpenoids/flavonoids. Hempyre Genetics also collects agricultural data and evaluates environmental factors to inform farmers which varieties of hemp that will produce the best yield to their specific location.
