Dr. Helm opened his practice, The Helm Eye Center in Steamboat Springs after completing his Ophthalmology training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. His first office was in the Old Medical Office building at the Old Hospital on Park Avenue in Steamboat Springs. The office was moved to a location Downtown on Lincoln Avenue for many years. As the practice continued to grow Dr. Helm and Dr. Ted Schrock developed the Fish Creek Professional Buildings in 2001, where the office at 505 Anglers Drive, Suite 202 resides.
