HC-A is pleased to announce that they are members of the prestigious South African Oil & Gas Alliance, as well as Helioffshore, the global alliance based in Aberdeen, working towards continuous and improved safety in the helicopter industry. Much like HC-A, the SAOGA is based in Cape Town, but its reach extends across South Africa, the continent an... d even the world. Its basic aim is to serve the interests of industry and members in the upstream and midstream Oil and Gas Sectors in Africa. More specifically, the organisation operates as a partnership between the public and private sectors, receiving public funding to carry out a range of industry development activities and working to promote the interests of members. It is overseen by an independent volunteer Board of Directors from industry and a number of other key stakeholders. Indeed HC-A is very pleased to be supported by the SAOGA in their quest to raise awareness of the current helideck regulatory vacuum in South Africa and also in much of the continent. Together we are committed to implementing a world-class system of regulation, inspection and certification for the benefit of all.
