100% volunteer 501c3 operated organization, Health & Awareness is working hard to raise awareness regarding the increasing epidemic of kidney disease the fastest-growing noncommunicable disease in America. The positive results received from patients attended and following the prevention information at our workshops encourage us to go where our serv... ice is a need and no other organization will attempt to go. We concentrate on our seniors and less well-off neighbors; those without or unable to afford internet service or computers. Our mission is solely funded by donations. Feed the mind of kidney disease at risk people at the early stage, lacking the medical knowledge or medical insurance. Offer workshops to help them recognize and manage advancing to the chronic stages of kidney disease. To decrease the raising numbers of kidney failure through training people with the Common Sense Rules. Take an active role in health care and treatment, understand lab codes, forget dieting and change eating habits, and most important remember - The is not such thing as a one size fit all treatment plan. -Raise awareness about the increasing cause of Kidney disease. Highlight the facts that diabetes and high blood pressure are key risk factors for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). -Encourage systematic screening of all patients with diabetes and hypertension for CKD. -Encourage preventive behaviors and healthcare compliance. -Educate everyone about the key role in detecting and reducing the risk of CKD, particularly in high-risk populations. -Stress the importance of learning your family health history - if action is not taken, the growing number of people with CKD will continue to increase. -Encouraged local government to take action and invest in further kidney screening. -Encourage Transplantation as a best-outcome option for Kidney failure, and the act of organ donation as a life-saving initiative.
