We work with men, women, children and teens from ages 3 to late adulthood from diverse and varied backgrounds. We know no single approach is the best one for each individual, so we have been trained and have experience in a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Sand Tray, Play Therapy, Theraplay, Art Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and short term brief solution focused therapy. We pride ourselves on staying updated through trainings and continuing education so that we are able to provide you with the best care, right here in the heart of the Midwest. Counseling can feel intimidating or even scary. Seeking counseling does not make you "crazy or weak." In fact, it takes a strong and healthy person to realize a little extra help or guidance is needed. Sometimes, it is nice to just "vent" or get an expert opinion on how to handle difficulties in our lives.
