About HCL Foundation
The Happy Children Lotus Foundation was founded in 2010 by Shalimar Krautscheid. The aim of the Foundation is to support children in Vietnam in order for them to have a happy childhood. Shalimar Krautscheid lived in Vietnam for seven years and gained a lot of insights into children's lives and education in Vietnam while studying at the University of Da Nang and while working as a teacher. The Happy Children Lotus Foundation cooperates with local schools and organisations and develops programmes to support the children in unfolding their potential. As part of these programmes, we finance better learning materials and toys and organise extra-curricular activities and promote better possibilities of studies.
