Society has a need to identify a psychopath *if* he or she is potentially placed in a position of trust. Psychopaths have served their purpose as unfeeling warriors through history, but they operate on a level of instinct alone - so are unfit for certain duties that require empathy. I have chosen to champion the cause of reliable scientific (neurological and genetic) testing of a person's EQ in cases where a psychopathic person would have the potential to cause lasting damage. (As drug and STD tests are used to determine fitness as desired). My history of bad experiences causes my belief that persons seeking positions of trust - entering relationships (romantic or business), becoming parents, running for political office, serving as religious leaders - need to be asked for their EQ. When people have information on a psychopath's lack of empathy and conscience, they can have an educated choice about whether to allow the psychopath into their lives. When the gamble is lost, the foreknowledge of their condition will soften the blow. I aim to help prevent the shock that results from total betrayal. Traumatized victims cannot function, and their suffering dominoes upon their families, friends, coworkers, and civilized society. Why do people believe the psychopaths? Why is it that everyone is fooled by their mild-manners and smile-high flood of stories? Why is it people just want to "be in their presence"? People, in general, do not look closely when they are being entertained.
