It was taken over by the current partners, Paul Campbell and Peter Diver, in 2007 and continued to grow and become one of the largest accountancy practices in the area. In 2017, Hardy & Company merged with Parker Gradwell a long established, progressive firm of accountants based in Hyde. Parker Gradwell was founded in 1931 in Bridge Street, Manches... ter and moved to Hyde in 1984 following a merger with local firm Smith, Lockett & Gowlar. The Partners, Paul and Peter, both qualified with a top 10 UK practice based in Manchester and brought large firm experience to small and medium sized businesses. The aim is to give a very high level of service to a small number of clients. This will ensure that clients get our full attention and we are able to answer their questions quickly and comprehensively. We were frustrated in practice by not having enough time to go that step further for our clients to make sure that the job is completed to their and our satisfaction, dealing with ALL the issues identified. We believe that most small and medium sized enterprises would benefit from the services of a Financial Director but cannot afford the respective costs. We can fill this gap by offering our clients a Quasi Financial Director function, offering our expertise to answer their day-to-day problems on an ad-hoc basis, or structured by way of monthly or quarterly meetings providing the opportunity to discuss business strategy and tax planning.
