Established in 1954. Pediatarics Dr. Eugene Chen was born in Champaign, IL, and was raised in Laguna Niguel, CA. He received his BS degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, CA, and then proceeded to earn his MD from George Washington University in Washington D.C. After completing his internship at New York's Jacobi Medical Center, Al... bert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Chen returned to Southern California for his residency at Children's Hospital, Los Angeles. Dr. David Michelis was born in Wyandotte, MI, and grew up in North Carolina. He obtained his BS in Zoology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Michelis then moved to the west where he earned his MD at the University of California, Davis, and finished his internship and residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. Harbor Pediatrics is a primary care pediatric facility located in Newport Beach, California. We have been providing care to the children of Orange County since 1954. We provide general pediatric services including newborn and infant care, childhood well physicals and immunizations, sports physicals, behavioral consultations, and same day sick services. Our doctors are members of staff at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian, as well as maintain an excellent partnership with Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in the event that inpatient care is required for our patients. Harbor Pediatrics partners with Hoag and CHOC Hospital which provides urgent care services to children during off-hours and holidays. For your convenience, we offer live nurse advice during office hours. Also, there is a physician on-call each night and weekends to assist our parents with urgent questions and concerns.
