Hannah Playhouse

Old buildings usefulness are so often measured by economic imperatives alone and their living presence is never acknowledged. The Hannah Playhouse provides a service to the performing arts community of the whole of NZ, in that she keeps safe the spirits of past lives that have created, and indeed appreciated, within her walls. She is a gatekeeper a... nd her scars deserve a bow. They were earnt over years of use for intended purpose. Not many buildings can say that. I honour her mantel's continued presence in Wellington. She is a real theatre that is still one of our Cathedrals of Honour to Humanity in all its reflective expression.
