Hands On-Austin

Hands On is a Myofascial Release Treatment Center. This October marks the beginning of our 19th year serving the Austin/Round Rock community. Though we integrate many other manual therapy techniques like soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, massage and spinal mobilization, Myofascial Release is our main treatment technique. I attribute Hands On'... s success to the power of Myofascial Release in eliminating pain and restoring function as well as the incredible advanced level therapists that have been attracted to our practice. What started as a single therapist providing advanced level Myofascial Release within the Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy realm quickly grew due to it's inherent ability to empower those in pain to not only get out of pain but to also understand the underlying nature of their pain. The expert level therapists that have been attracted to Hands On have worked against the growing trend in health care which was quickly becoming less hands-on oriented and more machine and gym based. The model of practice for quality care that was established in Round Rock and surrounding areas 19 years ago has not changed, even with the decrease in insurance reimbursements and rising costs of providing care. The therapists at Hands On have stayed true to their training providing a higher standard of quality care along with the desire to help their clients understand the etiology of their pain to treat the problem rather then just provide a feel good service. Although Myofascial Release is an amazing technique for eliminating both acute and chronic pain, our practice tends to treat a lot of chronic pain conditions. This is not because Myofascial Release is not as effective with acute pain, but because most other modalities fail to remediate chronic pain.
