About Hampton Machine Shop
Established in 1972 with the original location on Aberdeen Road, Hampton Machine Shop was purchased by Ed Wilson in 1980. In 2000, construction was completed on a new 51,000 square foot facility in Newport News, putting all operations under one roof. Just twelve short years later, HMS had expanded to the point of purchasing an additional 70,000 square foot location in Hampton to give the company the company's combined 121,000 square feet the company has today. The company were honored in 2006 to be one of the first manufacturers to be Lean Certified in the United States, and the company continue to work with ODU on a regular basis to maintain the company's certification.Explore more
