Having worked in industry for over twenty years, I set up Hammond & Co in 2011 and incorporated it in 2015. In my time working in financial services Ive headed up financial teams working for large corporates, worked in finance change management and IT, implementing financial systems. I qualified as an accountant in 1994, gaining membership of ACCA... in 1996 and Fellowship in 2001. When I left industry, I was approached by a number of people looking for accounting services. I was surprised by the fees these people had been charged (some were quite excessive) by their previous accountants and in many cases the level of service that was provided for those fees. Whilst this is not the case for all accountants it seemed to me there were a significant number of accountants giving little or incorrect advice at over the odds prices. I reasoned I could give a better service and thus Hammond & Co was born. Since that time, I have specialised in providing tax advice to individuals and owner managed businesses.
