Mr. Halterman began in the automobile business in 1964 when he began doing repairs at a local service station. The following year he began his own business doing Volkswagen repairs. In 1966 he purchased land and built a small garage and showroom for the newly acquired Toyota franchise. In the early 1970's an additional 1500 square feet of service a... rea was added and the Mazda and Jeep franchises were acquired . In the late 1970's early 1980's the Renault franchise was added and ground was broken for a 5000 square foot service and parts center. The 1990's brought the acquisition of the Volkswagen franchise. In 2002 Mr. Halterman broke ground for a 15,000 square foot environmentally friendly, 18 bay Service and Parts center.The following year Haltermans's was granted the opportunity to acquire the Scion brand. In 2007, Mr. Halterman celebrated 40 years with the Toyota Corporation and also broke ground on a 17,500 square foot state-of-the-art Toyota and Scion showroom and Express Maintenance Facility which was completed in September of 2008. Today Mr. Halterman and his son Keith Halterman, can be found greeting customers at the dealership and ensuring that those customers are given the best sales and service experience possible.
