Hall Oil & Propane, Inc. was started in 1959 when Clyde Hall's parents, Junior and Margie Hall, sold the family farm and bought a general merchandise store in Walnut Cove. They added fuel oil delivery to the business and have been serving the heating needs of Stokes and surrounding counties ever since. Hall Oil & Propane, Inc. is now owned by Clyde... and wife Brenda and the third generation of Hall's, their sons Greg, Anthony and Jeremy, are among their 14 employees. Starting off with only one truck, one employee and selling just fuel oil, Hall Oil & Propane now sells propane and has grown to 14 employees, 7 delivery trucks and 5 service trucks. In addition to the delivery of fuel oil & propane, they now sell & install gas logs, fireplaces, dryers, water heaters, ranges and gas grills, many of which are on display in their massive showroom and storage facility on Highway 311 just north of Walnut Cove.
