Established after World War II in 1945, H &H has continued to survive in the heavy duty aftermarket for six decades. Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1945 by J.D. Howard. In the beginning H & H provided parts and service for both the automotive and heavy-duty markets. Steve Howard joined the business in the 1970s and began focusing efforts on the heavy duty market. Automotive worked was phased out as the differences between automobiles and commercial trucks broadened. Carl Howard joined the business in 2003. He and Steve continue to move ahead with a state of the art facility, factory diagnostic equipment, and a team of certified technicians. In 2008 H & H brought a Freightliner, Sterling, and Western Star dealer to the area for the first time. In June 2008 Phillip Howard returned to Fayetteville and joined the business. From large fleets to single truck operators, minor repair to major overhauls H & H works hard to earn each customers business. Throughout the years H & H has met the challenges of this changing industry by following one major strategy: striving to provide superior customer service. This strategy forces us to adapt to the changes in the market, and find ways to serve our customers needs. Emphasis on customer service is placed at every level of the organization. We have implemented training and certification programs to keep technicians abreast with changing technology, created a detailed customer database to simplify and assist customers in record keeping requirements and compliance issues, developed a preventative maintenance program that keeps vehicles safe and on the road, and maintain a comprehensive inventory to allow for fast and reliable turnarounds.
