David, originally from Northampton, has spent most of his life in Norfolk and Suffolk working in Accountancy practices, qualifying as a Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser. He is also an ADR group accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator and an active member of the Civil Mediation Council and is the mediating accountant . Guymer King Limited came about as a result of the Managing Director, David King FCCA ATII, having spent 30 years in Accountancy and Tax, latterly as a Partner in a regional firm, David wanted to form a company that was more in touch with its clients, genuinely was interested in their needs and wanted to use his skills to give practical and imaginative solutions. In addition he had seen disputes cause huge disruption and wanted to use ADR to give solutions that would help people in conflict move on. As a result, the formation of the business saw David acquire formal mediation skills (via ADR Group) becoming a member of the Civil Mediation Council, being involved in a number of Mediations under the guidance of a very experienced Mediator, and seeking to provide support for those in dispute to enable them to settle their issues and move forward.
