Gulf Dredging & General Contracting Company K.S.C (GD) was formed in 1975 as a Joint Shareholding Company of the Government of Kuwait and Ballast Nedam of Netherlands, to cater to the growing requirements of dredging, in and around Kuwait. Starting off the business solely in dredging, with a fleet of Cutter Suction Dredgers, Backhoe Dredger and All... ied equipment, the company concentrated in the Capital Dredging projects in Kuwait. Later in 1980, the Company diversified into other areas of Marine Construction.Gulf Dredging is accredited with ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 and is a member of International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA). In the year 1999, GD Management established a Civil Construction Division to carry out Civil and Infrastructure works and executed a number of complex projects. Since then Gulf Dredging has been classified as Class -1 Civil Contractor by the Central Agency for Public Tenders of the State of Kuwait. Gulf Dredging has its branch in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Al Khafji) and operates in the State of Qatar, Sultanate of Oman & Republic of Iraq.
