About Guideposts Trust
Guideposts Trust was formed in 1972; it introduced the concept of group homes to ease the transition of patients returning to the community from psychiatric hospitals. In 1974 the Trust formed Guideposts Housing Association, which is now a major independent provider of housing with care in the mental health field. In 1992 the Trust opened its first Day Care Centre to offer individual care programmes for people returning from psychiatric institutions to the community. Since then, further centres have been opened. The services we provide include work experience, specialist support for the under thirties, befriending schemes, leisure programmes, a home support scheme and a housing support scheme.
