Ned E. Hahn founded Guardian Security Systems, Inc, in 1974. Employed in Fairbanks, Mr. Hahn was dissatisfied with the service his alarm company employer was providing customers. With $85 and a drill bought on credit he sold his motorcycle and gun for enough cash to purchase a demonstration kit and car to come to Anchorage and start his own company... . Now, forty years later, Guardian Security monitors alarm and fire systems and provides security personnel throughout the state of Alaska.
