Guacamole Taqueria

My husband is from Mexico. So by default he has high standards when it comes to Mexican food. We were expecting to be disappointed but instead were pleasantly surprised by the food. The pros: The tacos are freshly made and put into two small corn tortillas each (as it should be). The meat in the tacos was very tasty too. We tried the chicharron, ar... rachera, and al pastor which were all very tasty. Very close to what you would find in a typical taqueria in Mexico. The guacamole is as good as you'll find in any Mexican restaurant. The flautas were also crispy and tasty. The cons: Not enough chips with the guacamole. You'll need to order more chips. We would also recommend visiting the restaurant. It has been very nicely decorated. SOOO GOOOD!!! I have to admit I hadnt ordered from here in months because of bad past experiences with them BUT I GAVE THEM A CHANCE TODAY & Im soooo happy i did! The food is a little pricey, $13 for a veggie quesadilla! But it was REALLY GOOD! The order came in less than 20 mins (YASSSS finally since Im only one block away) and the salad w/ their house dressing was DELICIOUS! Thank you for not disappointing me! I will eat here again, maybe at the actual restaurant THE CHICKEN BURRITO WITH CHORIZO WAS BOMB ! IT WAS AWESOME THE MELTED CHEESE ON TOP DRIPPED IN MEXICAN SPICY GREEN SAUCE, STUFFED WITH RICE, ONIONS, LETTUCE, BEANS,CHICKEN AND CHORIZO !!!! TOPPED OFF WITH SOUR CREAM, GUACAMOLE AND PICO DE GALLO ! DEFITNETLY WILL BE ORDERING FROM HERE ! Tacos in NYC have been a let down. Only a hand few of places are decent.
