Growler Time

Why are we changing our name from Growler Time to FIG.1? In the beginning we were a package store, we sold growlers, cans of beers, and bottles of wine only. Then we started selling fresh pasta, fine olive oil, garlic, imported tomatoes, and balsamic reduction. After a while all the local breweries obtained canning machines which pretty much defeat... ed the growler model. Now craft beer is just a Kroger or Publix away however they dont get brewery release or one-off beers, we do. We now make it a business to bring you really good food made with the same handmade fresh ingredients we were selling but we took it a bit further and added sandwiches, salads, pizza and tapas. Most importantly the name is a combination of my two daughters names, Frankie and Iggy. But also the name change comes from my love of art. I am designer by education and always loved old etchings and illustrations labeled fig.1, fig.2, etc. For the last 3 years, since we added food, we felt the name Growler Time kept people away because it sounded exclusively alcohol related. We opted to keep the name for nostalgia and recognition but it created a disconnect with what we actually do here. We still have 39 taps of beer, wine, cider, mead and soda, but now we also offer a pretty good food menu as well. No fried food, organic crust, gluten free for those that require it, keto diet supported, vegan, lactose free and pescatarian options available everyday. Our space is small so we only have 2 ovens, no stove or burners, but still effcient and mostly unique and delicious. We strive to bring you new special menu items daily whether its food or drink. Here at FIG.1 there is nothing more important than the safety of our customers. Because of the COVID-19 situation we will close our dining room and be open only for curbside or door pickup starting on 3/17/20. We guarantee that we always follow national and state guidelines including Georgia Restaurant Association. We will be filling growlers from our 39 taps .
