Since 1980, Groupe Lemercier ( Promodor ) is the largest buying group in fashion for men in Quebec with 30 independent shops including 14 Lemercier . In 1999, Promodor, in a desire to reinvent its shops, asked a recognized marketing firm to prepare a plan for developing a concept store. After many focus groups, telephone surveys throughout Quebec,... statistical and financial analysis, the first Lemercier opened in 2000. In 2005, with 14 Lemercier shops opened and in order to continue the development of the banner, Promodor requested a new study. Consultants helped us to define a clear positioning between mid-range and high-end as well as the redevelopment of various departments and categories of our products. In 2007, the needs of the group increased and Promodor acquired a space to house the headquarters and showroom. In 2012, Groupe Promodor changes its name and becomes Groupe Lemercier .
