Griffintown Media was founded in 1996 and borrows its name from the historic Irish working class neighbourhood in Montreal. Our successes over the years include best-selling books and magazines, branding campaigns for government and multinational corporations and benevolent work for community groups. Griffintown is an historic, working-class neighbourhood in downtown Montreal named for Robert Griffin, where, in the mid-1800s Irish immigrants escaping the potato famine settled to begin their new lives. These immigrants worked in the factories and rail yards along the famous Lachine Canal, and their efforts helped to build Canada. They were hard-working and honest people, and it was an honour to name our company after their neighbourhood, and to also locate our first office here in 1998. Today, we're located just to the west of Griffintown, on the Lachine Canal, in fact, and still proud of our name. Our hotel recently underwent a rebranding effort that now sees us with new logos for our three principal entities (hotel, spa and restaurant), new stationery, a new Web site and new videos. Griffintown Media delivered the entire project. The process was efficient, resulting in a fresh, new identity for our business.Read More
