Green Chips is a non-profit catalyst organization dedicated to building community through collaborative partnerships for a more sustainable future. The Mission of Green Chips is to strengthen and accelerate the implementation of sustainable community initiatives in Southern Nevada through strategic collaborations and public-private partnerships. We... accomplish this by working with our stakeholders in a spirit of open collaboration and broad based community engagement. An Inclusive Community Network: Green Chips functions as a highly diverse and open facilitating organization committed to raising public awareness and identifying and leveraging funding resources in support of educational outreach programs and site-based sustainability projects. Through broad collaboration on projects like the Green Chips Community Web Portal and the annual Convene For Green Summit the broad range of stakeholder organizations work together to promote a community-based green identity for the region that celebrates our unique environment and high quality of life. Competition Bad, Collaboration Good: The overarching goal of Green Chips is not to replace existing community efforts, but rather to supplement and amplify those efforts that contribute to moving the needle of sustainability on a regional scale and support improving the social equity and quality of life standards in Southern Nevada. Leveraging Green Financing: As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Green Chips assists our partner agencies in aggregating federal, state, local, and foundation financial resources to encourage clean energy and environmental conservation projects, offering affordable and effective assistance to both households, businesses and other non-profit community organizations.
