About Great Minds

Each year in the United States over 23,000 people mothers, sons, fathers, daughters are diagnosed with brain cancer. Great Minds is dedicated to making this reality a thing of the past through fund-raising activities specifically benefitting brain cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC James) in Columbus, Ohio. Great Minds events benefit the Lisa B. Landes Brain Cancer Fund, established for the purpose of brain cancer research, patient care, patient experience, and patient enhancement. Great Minds (formerly Rock and Roll Over Brain Cancer) was created in 2011 by brain cancer survivor Mary Kay Fenlon, as she approached the 10-year anniversary of her brain tumor surgery and diagnosis. Collaborating with her neuro-oncologist, Mary Kay produced the first event, raising over $10,000.
