We own and operate our own dialup network and equipment. Bandwidth is provided by Level 3 Communications and MCI. We use DSX-1 B8ZS encoded short haul channelized trunks from the telephone company local switch sites which terminates directly in our equipment. Our dialup gear is exclusively US Robotics V.92 access modules running a modern code set. Great Lakes Information Systems was established in 1995 with the idea of providing affordable Internet services in the State of Michigan. HiCap extends that goal by providing a less expensive service than NetZero, Netscape or PeoplePC with a higher level of customer service. Our support office is in Clinton Township, Michigan.
